Laodicean Church

The Laodicean Church

The Revelation outlines the history of the Church throughout the ages to come following the time of John the Apostle. The last age of Church history is the Laodicean age as will be explained. The "single page chapters" are...

The Wretched, Blind And Naked Church

The Lord describes the Laodicean age of the Church by saying that it is “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked”? (Revelation 3:17) The Laodicean Church is naked because it lacks salvation. The Lord speaks to that Church saying  “I counsel you to buy of Me … white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear.” (Revelation 3:18)

The Prosperity Gospel Church

The Laodicean Church is rolling in money boasting “I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing.” (Revelation 3:17) If this Church does not make you ill, then nothing will.

The Itching Ears Church Part One

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4)  Some people do not want Truth, but they do want to be confirmed in the sin that they love. This is the “Itching Ears” Church and it may have a branch near you.

The Itching Ears Church Part Two

Some Churches today are reinventing the Gospel. They don’t like what the Bible really says and so they leave out the bits that do not suit them.

The Strong Delusion Church

The Bible warns that “God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12) Some in the modern Church are suffering a strong delusion and seem to be bent on pursuing their own goals, even if those goals are in direct opposition to the declared truths of the Word of God.

Is God Homophobic?

According to some people God must be “homophobic” and guilty of “hate speech.” Such a conclusion comes from the way society treats anyone who merely repeats, or preaches, what God has said about all types of sin. By this definition God is also "liar-ophobic" and "adultery-ophobic for God, in His great love for us, is "all sin-ophobic."

The Church Redefines Marriage

Marriage is a sacred thing, ordained by God Himself, and we fiddle with it at our peril.  However some Churches these days are happy to redefine the sacred things of God.

The Church Redefining The Gospel

We are not left in the dark about whether or not certain things are sinful for the Bible makes these matters very clear. But the Bible also reveals that some people want to make up their own rules. The Laodicean Church redefines the Gospel.

The Church Romancing Islam

Many in the organised Church are seeking to “work together (with Islam) for the sake of justice and peace.” Islam is deemed to be more or less equal to the Christian faith even though Islam denies that Christ is God, that Christ did not die on the cross and He certainly did not rise from the dead. To link with Islam is to deny the Gospel and is surely a sign of the Laodicean Church in action today.
